Delphis Group is an Athens based company that provides building air conditioning. An office building by Yiannis Ditsas, in which my participation consisted mainly in the frame concept and as a cad designer. Delphis Group Headquarters is a three storey building with three basements. A steel & glass structure on top of a concrete basement cube. The steel cube inserting itself in the ground, providing a pleasant, inhabitable first basement.
The use of a steel frame to provide a prestigious headquarters building was not common in Athens. It was chosen to provide a technologic essence but also because there was a great need of speed during construction. The building was built, from the excavations till operation, in the record time of four months, the construction site being coordinated by the business owner himself.
